We presented our work in OSVISE at the Chipdesign Germany Forum 2026 in Dresden.
Chipdesign Germany Forum
Two days of engaging presentations on chip design, coupled with an inspiring community, made for a truly valuable exchange of ideas. A particular highlight was Laurence W. Nagel’s presentation “The Life of SPICE,” which provided fascinating insights into the origins of EDA tools. It was fascinating to hear about the first ever EDA tool directly from one of the authors.
It was also great to meet the community and see the progress made over the past year. The community’s interest in the OSVISE project provided excellent feedback and motivation to drive this work forward.
Below are our two main contributions to the event.
Verification of Instruction Set Extensions Made Easy
We explained our project to the community with a short presentation. The talk gave an overview of the different activities and two examples of how open source in particular helps the project for the verification efforts.
